“God is my refuge and strength, an ever
present help in trouble. Therefore, I shall not fear though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though the waters roar and
foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” – Psalm 46:1-3
A few weeks ago, the FBI showed up at a man’s house and arrested him at gunpoint. His crime?—pushing an escort in defense of his son. The man, Mark, pushed the escort to defend his son from the verbal abuse of the Planned Parenthood escort. Mark was taken to court, but the judge dismissed the case when the escort repeatedly failed to show up for the trial. Months later, the FBI contacted Mark who responded to them. Mark never received a response from the FBI until they showed up at his doorstep with their guns out.
Mark’s arrest is totally unjust. It is a fear tactic to make us think that the abortion industry controls our government and our lives, and we are powerless to stop them.
This situation is very similar to another situation 2000 years ago when a man was unjustly arrested. It looked like Satan controlled the world, it looked like God was powerless to stop him, but Jesus rose from the dead crushing Satan’s hold on the world. Satan never foresaw or understood the Resurrection. Similarly, the Abortion industry does not foresee or understand the power of prayer and love. We have weapons that they can’t even fathom.
While Mark’s arrest is totally unjust, we do not need to fear it. He was arrested because he touched a Planned Parenthood escort, but if we are peaceful and don’t touch anyone, they have no reason to arrest us. I encourage you to pray on the sidewalk, pray in your homes, sidewalk counsel, and do not be afraid; we have the Risen Lord guarding us.
